Wall, S.D. — It’s going to snow today! The first measurable snowfall of the season, about 1-3 inches predicted. I’m glad my SUV has AWD. After a couple days spent in this town (including one day sidelined by a migraine), I’m heading to drive the scenic loop around Badlands National Park. Depending on the snowfall, will try and hike a bit. And then it’s off to Keystone to see Mt. Rushmore. Apparently, there’s a hike that takes you up close to the mountain, but will likely do that tomorrow when it’s sunny again.
Today is also the 13th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks. It’s good to visit a national monument on this day.
